Omkarananda Jayanti Celebration,
on 25th December 2018

In front of the Omkarananda-Hanuman Mandir, which is situated in the Headquarters of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, opposite the Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir,
Sundarkand Path was taking place as part of the Omkarananda Jayanti Celebrations.

In Honour of Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati a beautiful
cultural programme took place, which started with the auspicious lighting of
Deepas in front of Gurudev. From left to right: Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati,
Shri D.K. Varshney, Dr. Quaylee Chakravorty and Shrimati Meenakshi Gupta.

Guru-Bhakti-Ratna Kumari Somashekhari started her Bharatanatyam Dance-Performance
in Honour of Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati with offering of
fresh and fragrant flowers to Him.

Kumari Somashekhari, with glittering ornaments and shining dress,
is sparkling in joy, while offering a true Bharatanatyam Dance.

Some students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya, the Gurukul of
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, were reciting the Vaidika Mangalacharan
from Shukla Yajurveda, for the Happiness and Well-Being of All.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda praised the disciplined and divine life-style
of the students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya. Pointing to the students,
Swamiji remarked, that this is our real India, the Foundation of our Vedic System.

Swami Vishveshwaranandaji then invited Shri Swami Rakeshananda, President
Karttikeya Ashram, Rishikesh, and Shri Swami Sundara Chaitanya, General Secretary,
to reward the students with gifts and Dakshina.

Kumari Somashekhari continued the cultural Program with a deeply devotional,
highly classical Bharatanatyam Temple-Dance item.

Shri Ramesh Uniyal, a popular Folk singer of the Himalayan Garhwal Area,
sang a beautiful song, written by himself, in Honour of Swami Omkarananda
and Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.

Shri Ramesh Uniyal was felicitated and honoured by Shri Debasis Das,
Principal Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College.

Kumari Somashekhari completed her dance-performances in Honour of Gurudev
with a powerful Bharatanatyam item. The audience reacted with a strong ovation.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda thanked Kumari Somashekhari for her performance
and also highlighted her devotion to Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati.
Next to him is standing Shri Swami Paramananda, who was the Master of Ceremony
of this holy event.   

Shri D.K. Varshney, Senior Educationist from Rishikesh, and President of OSN and OIMT Management Committees, highlighted the praiseworthy contribution of
Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati in the field of Education for the backward area
of Garhwal Himalayas. Varshneyji described Swami Omkarananda as an extraordinary Siddhapurush, who had selected the most ideal Disciple and Successor in Swami Vishveshwarananda. Shri Varshneyji further described and praised all the three
direct Sannyasi Disciples of Swami Omkarananda in India, namely Swami Vishveshwarananda, Swami Satchidananda and Kumari Somashekhari, and their respective
works for Omkarananda Ashram.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda honoured Shri D.K. Varshney with a flower-garland and
thanked him for his continuous, faithful and selfless support since so many years.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,
deeply touched the hearts of the audience with his divine, dynamic and inspiring words.
He told, that Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati wanted only one thing,
that is, that we experience the eternal Truth, as fast as possible – if possible in this very life.
For that Swami Omkarananda took endless pains on His shoulders. Swamiji very much
emphasized in his speech, that all the credit and praise for everything good, beautiful, extraordinary and Divine in Swami Omkarananda's direct Disciples and in
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, its Temples and Educational Institutions, belong only
to His Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati. Without His Grace
and Power nothing would be possible. Everybody appreciated Swami Vishveshwarananda's
words, which where an honest expression, flowing directly from his saintly, noble Heart.

Shri P.C. Malhotra, a devotee from Delhi, expressed his gratitude on this occasion.

the Omkarananda Arati for their adorable Gurudev.

One of the prominent Saints, who attended the Omkarananda Jayanti Celebration,
was the great Yogi Shri Swami Ram Kripalu, who expressed his joy and congratulations
to Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari on this holy occasion.

After the Cultural Function in Honour of Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati was completed,
all devotees and guests gathered outside and enjoyed for some time the beautiful and
divine environment of the Headquarters of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.

Everybody was heartily invited for Prasadam, in form of lunch.

After a nice lunch, the devotees and guests enjoyed some more time in the
divine and beautiful atmosphere of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.
