This School is situated in the beautiful village
of Salya (Luvani) which is about 3 km from
Luvani up on a hill top. The panoramic view from
here to the snow-capped peaks of Chaukhamba and
other mountains becomes a memorable experience.
Also, this region is known for its rich
production of agricultural items, like excellent
potatoes, beans and fruits.
There is a big Shiva Mandir at 4 km and a Raja-Rajeshwari
Mandir at 2 km from this village.
The School was adopted by the Omkarananda
Educational Society in January 1999 and
financial aid was granted. Since then, this
School has been progressing well and gained
reputation for its standard education. It runs
classes from Nursery to Class V. Since there was
no School for little children in the village, it
is doing a great service in the educational
field by providing quality basic education in
this interior hilly area of Garhwal. This School
has a very dedicated and laborious Teaching
Staff.
