42nd Foundation Day Celebration
in Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College (OSN),
in Muni-ki-reti, via Rishikesh, on 1st December 2024

On 1st December 2024, the 42nd Foundation Day of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College (OSN), the honourable guests are guided to the Omkarananda Mini Stadium, where the Celebration took place. From left to right: Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, and Indian Classical Dancer and Singer, Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, OSN Principal Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela and Shri I.D. Joshi, Senior Educationist and President, OSN Management Committee. OSN School teachers, wearing lovely Saris as School Uniform, are happily greeting and welcoming the guests.

The beautiful tent, where a special Yajna will be conducted. Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam (OSN) was founded by His Divinity Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati on 1st December 1983. Over the years it has grown into a huge, highly prestigious and famous Educational Institution, with presently about 2300 students, 85 Teachers, 40 non-teaching Staff, 4 non-teaching part-time Staff and seven busses, owned by the School.

The honourable Principal welcomes Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Shri I.D. Joshi with flower bouquets.

Inside the tent, at the beautiful Altar, with a photo of Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, Omkarananda Ashram Priest, Shri Sanjay Pandit Ji, performs Pujas and Arati for Gurudev.

Many OSN School Students had assembled to get the Blessings of the Yajna and of Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati.

A beautiful Kathak Dance, the North Indian Classical Dance Style, by OSN Students, delighted the hearts of all.

The honourable OSN Principal, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela, informed everybody about the progress of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College and its Students.

OSN School Students were singing in a beautiful tune and with excellent pronunciation the famous Sanskrit Hymn "Mahishasura Mardini Stotram".

The great Senior Educationist from Rishikesh, Shri I. D. Joshi, who is also the honourable President of the OSN Management Committee, expressed his deep Thanks and Adorations to Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, for establishing in the year 1983 already such a wonderful Educational Institution like Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam, for the benefit for countless children. He also expressed his special Thanks to Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda for his constant help and support for this wonderful School.

H.H. Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, gave an amazing and inspiring speech. He requested Students, Teachers and others to always think of God and cling to God, the only Treasure, which remains with us and can really and always help us in all situations.

After the conclusion of this wonderful 42nd Foundation Day Celebration in Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam, sweet packets, which had been offered as Prasadam, were distributed to all OSN School Students, Teachers, Staff and Guests.
