Krishna-Janmashtami Celebration
in Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, on 26th August 2024

Nicely decorated, Shri Krishna Gopal Ji is seated on His Jhoola (swing) in front of the Pranapratishtha Shrine of "Sri Padmavati sameta Sri Bala Ji", in the beautiful Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, ready for the Celebrations in His Honour.

Shri Mukesh Pandit Ji is performing a wonderful Puja for Krishna Gopal Ji.

Several Omkarananda Ashram Priests, under the guidance of Chief-Priest Suresh Pandit Ji (left) are reciting the Vishnu Sahasranama, Maha Sudarshana Mantra and other important Mantras and Hymns, while Pujas for Lord Krishna are going on.

Since Lord Krishna loves butter, the Omkarananda Ashram Priests had specially prepared delicious butter from cow's milk, garnished with fresh Tulsi leaves from the Temple garden.

Nice Krishna Bhajans were sung by the Omkarananda Ashram Priests. From left to right: Shri Sanjay Pandit Ji, Shri Suresh Pandit Ji (Chief-Priest) and young Tabla Master, Shri Sachin Vyas.

Everybody has joined for the final Krishna Arati.

Arati is performed for Lord Krishna by Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.

Fresh rose petals are offered by Swami Ji to Krishna Gopal Ji.

Shri Swami Satchidananda, Treasurer, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, is pulling the chain, in order to let Krishna Gopal Ji happily swing to and fro on His Jhoola.
