Brahmotsava for Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir,
Muni-ki-reti, via Rishikesh,
from 22nd March 2024 to 24th March 2024

The beautifully decorated Altar at the start of the annual Brahmotsava for Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.

In the morning of 22nd March 2024 a grand Yajna took place in the Yajnashala of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir by Priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.

Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari also took part in the Yajna.

Arati for the Divine Kalashas, into which the Presence of different Deities had been invoked.

The holy Kalasha Yatra has started from the Yajnashala.

All are proceeding from the Mandapa of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir to other nearby Temples of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.

One Priest constantly purifies the route with Ganga Jal and another Priest carries a vessel with fragrant burning Guggul to purify the whole environment.

Shri Swami Satchidananda and others hand over holy Kalashas to the Priest Sanjay Pandit ji for Blessings and Abhisheka for Shri Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti.

After Abhisheka for Shri Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti, inside His beautiful Temple, under the holy Banyan tree, the participants of the Kalasha Yatra proceed to the nearby Shivalingam Mandir.

All have arrived at the Shivalingam Mandir.

Among powerful Vedic Chanting Abhisheka was performed for the holy Shivalingam.

Then Abhisheka was performed for the beautiful big Maha-Meru, a three-dimensional form of the Shriyantra.

Arati for the Maha-Meru by Shri Sanjay Pandit ji and Kumari Somashekhari.

From the Maha-Meru Mandir all move towards other nearby Temples of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.

Omkarananda Ashram Sannyasis, Omkarananda Ashram Priests and Devotees watch the Abhisheka for Lord Shri Omkara-Mahaganapati inside the Shrine.

Shrimati Nancha Chand, a Devotee, receives the Blessings of Lord Maha-Ganapati by the Priest.

Everybody could see the Pujas and Abhisheka for the Deities Shri Omkarananda-Radha-Krishna, inside Their very beautiful Temple.

The Omkarananda Ashram Priest blesses all with the holy water from the Kalasha.

Special Pujas for Lord Omkarananda-Hanuman.

A nice Shiva Idol, placed under a huge Peepal Tree, is worshiped with Ganga Jal and flowers.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari offer Ganges Water to the extremely beautiful, big and holy Peepal Tree.

Finally all can watch the grand Abhisheka for Lord Mahakala-Bhairava, Who resides in His Temple on a hillock, in the Headquarters of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.

Shri Sanjay Pandit ji blesses all with holy water from the Mahakala-Bhairava Mandir.

Finally a grand Arati for Lord Omkara-Mahaganapati is performed by Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.

All are taking part in singing the Ganesha Arati.

Shri Swami Satchidananda Saraswati, Treasurer, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, is performing Arati.

Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and Indian Classical dancer and Musician, receives the Prasadam of this holy Celebration, along with Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Shri Swami Satchidananda.

Special tasty Prasadam, prepared by the Chief-Priest of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,
is served to all participants of this wonderful divine event.

The grand Celebration of the annual Brahmotsava for Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir continued in the night of 23rd March 2024, with very elaborate Pujas. Here one can see Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, and Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and Indian Classical Dancer and Musician, at the beautiful Altar, which had been specially established by the Omkarananda Ashram Priests for this holy occasion in the Tempel Mandapa.

300 earthen Kalashas, filled with Ganges water and flower petals, are representing "Trishati", the 300 holy Names of the Supreme Divine Mother Shri Lalita Maha-Tripurasundari. Each of these divine Kalashas is specially worshipped, while the Priests are chanting powerfully the "Trishati", under the guidance of the Chief-Priest of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Shri Suresh Joshi ji, sitting in front of the mike.

The beautiful Altar, in the morning time of 24th March 2024, the concluding Festival Day of the three-day Brahmotsava for Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.

A very powerful Maha-Yajna marked the start of the final day of the Brahmotsava, by Priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.

A special Puja for the Divinities, invoked into the Kalashas on the Altar.

The three direct Disciples of His Divinity Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati offer flowers to the 300 holy earthen Kalashas, into which the presence of 300 divine qualities or aspects of the Supreme Divine Mother Shri Lalita Maha-Tripurasundari had been invoked by elaborate Pujas and Mantra Recitations.

All are ready to start the holy Kalasha Yatra.

A final Puja is done by one of the Omkarananda Ashram's Priests to ensure a safe Yatra for the Participants, as well as for the precious divine Kalashas.

The Participants of the Kalasha Yatra are passing the Navagraha Temple.

Everybody is taking the Blessings of holy Ganga Jal.

After a successful Pradakshina around the Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, all have arrived at the main entrance of the Temple.

The Participants of the Kalasha Yatra are entering the Mandapa.

The big Kalashas are placed inside the Sanctum Sanctorum of Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi and other Deities for Abhisheka.

During powerful Mantra Recitation the 300 small divine Kalashas are carefully handed over from one holy hand to another holy hand, till they reach inside the Shrine of Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi for Abhisheka.

After Alankaram for all Deities a grand Arati took place for Divine Mother Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi.

The three-day Celebration of the Brahmotsava for Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, concluded in the night of 24th March 2024, during Full Moon. Ashramites, Priests and Devotees had assembled for Arati and Pushpanjali for Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi.

Kumari Somashekhari offered divine Bharatanatyam Temple-Dances as special worship for Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi and other Divinities.

A beautiful Bharatanatyam Temple-Dance by Kumari Somashekhari, describing the infinite Glory and divine Beauty of the Supreme Divine Mother Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi, Who is the manifested Form of Shri Lalita Maha-Tripurasundari on earth.

While dancing Kumari Somashekhari depicts the line: "Shiva Panjara Shuki", which describes the Supreme Divine Mother as "Parot in the Cage of Shiva".

H. H. Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and appointed Successor of His Divinity Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, inspired and blessed all with his lively, divine and thought-provoking speech.

The Devotees are deeply engrossed in listening to Swami ji's inspiring speech.

Kumari Somashekhari had specially invited two important personalities for the conclusion of the Brahmotsava, a Suvasini, a married Lady, and a Kanya, a small girl. On the left side stands Shrimati Vandana Vaid and next to her Kumari Arohi. Somashekhari explained to the Devotees, that now Pujas will be performed, in which the Suvasini and the Kanya will be worshipped as visible Forms of the Divine Mother.

While the Omkarananda Ashram Priests are chanting special Mantras, Kumari Somashekhari worships the Suvasini and the Kanya with rose petals.

The Suvasini and Kanya are offered beautiful gifts by Kumari Somashekhari.

At the conclusion of this special worship Kumari Somashekhari showers once more rose petals on the Suvasini and Kanya.
