Surprise Visit of Saints and Devotees from
Tamil Nadu to Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, on 25th September
2022

Several Saints and Devotees from Tamil
Nadu, on their way back from Kedarnath, paid a surprise visit to
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, before returning to their Home
State, Tamil Nadu. The President of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,
Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati and the General
Secretary, Kumari Somashekhari, had been in the middle of Karma
Yoga, their selfless work for the Ashram. Nonetheless they happily
welcomed the surprise visitors and invited them for South Indian
Coffee and snacks in the Reception of the Headquarters of
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas. Here one can see Swamiji and
Somaji having joyous and lively interactions with their wonderful
guests from the South.

When the Saints and Devotees from Tamil
Nadu came to know, that Kumari Somashekhari is a professional
Bharatanatyam dancer and singer, they requested her to sing a song
in the Tamil language, to which Somashekhari immediately agreed.
The guests were thrilled and happy to hear Somashekhari's
devotional song in ancient Tamil language.

Afterwards the guests from Tamil Nadu
expressed their honest admiration for the way Kumari Somashekhari
could sing this ancient devotional Tamil song, though Tamil is not
her Mother Language. They remarked, that it is unbelievable, that
Somashekhari can pronounce the words of this beautiful, but very
difficult language, in such an excellent way, that it does not
seem, that she is not a Tamilian.

Finally Shri Swami Vishveshwaranandaji
blessed the wonderful guests from the South with Rudraksha Malas.
Here one can see Swamiji with a Sannyasi, who serves as a Priest
in a Shiva Temple in Madurai.

Thiru S. Karuppiah, Inspector Police,
Rameshwaram, who has his ancestral home in Madurai, also received
a Rudraksha Mala and divine Blessings from Swami
Vishveshwarananda.

Finally Swamiji honours and blesses the
Devotee Thiru N.C. Umamageswaran, Asst. Inspector General of
Police, Chennai. All the Saints and Devotees from Tamil Nadu
again and again expressed their extreme delight, for having got
the opportunity to meet Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, a
great, inspiring Saint, and Kumari Somashekhari, a divine Artist,
in the beautiful and most holy area of Omkarananda Ashram
Himalayas.
