Vishwakarma Puja,
in Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, on 17th September 2022

Lord Vishwakarma, the Divine Architect and Engineer of the whole Creation, is the Presiding Deity of architects and engineers, for artisans, like sculptors, goldsmiths, silversmiths, weavers, potters and other skilled manual workers, be it carpenters, plumbers, electricians, factory workers, etc., etc. They all worship Lord Vishwakarma on His special Festival Day, which mostly falls on the 17th September (rarely on 18th September) every year, in order to obtain success in their works and ward off negative energies and accidents at their working place or due to their working tools.
Because Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas has several faithful Workers, who are there since decades, this special day is always celebrated to honour them and their Ishta Devata (their most cherished Deity), Lord Vishwakarma.
The Priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas performed Pujas and Yajna, on 17th September 2022, near the different workshops of the Ashram.
From left to right: Shri Sanjay Panditji, Shri Suresh Panditji (Chief-Priest) and Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, during a powerful Homa for Lord Vishwakarma.

The flames of Agni Devata are happily accepting the Purnahuti from Shri Swami Vishveshwaranandaji's holy hands.
In the background on can see some of the Employees of Omkarananda Ashram, deriving divine Blessings from this special worship for Lord Vishwakarma.

Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati is offering the beautiful, shining Arati to all the Divinities on the Altar, while the Priests are chanting.
On this photo one can clearly see, that different tools of the Ashram Workers have been placed at this Altar, like hammers, saws, drilling machines, etc. During the special Vishwakarma Puja these tools have been purified and offered to the Divine, so that they may not cause any harm to their users.

This wonderful worship concluded with "Jay Jaykaar" for all Divinities, including Lord Vishwakarma and Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, followed by Prasad Distribution to all.

Agni Devata is glowing beautifully in front of the special Altar, established on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja, on 17th September 2022. On the top of the Altar is the Photo of Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati. Below can be seen pictures of Lord Ganesha and Lord Vishwakarma.
