Inauguration of a new big School Bus
for Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College (OSN),
on 6th September 2022

To comply with the work load of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College (OSN), it was necessary to purchase a brand-new big School Bus, which can bring OSN students safely to the School and back to their homes. Before the new, huge School Bus was brought to OSN, it was parked directly in front of the Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, in the Headquarters of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, so that Pujas can be done for it.

Two important Priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Shri Suresh Panditji, Chief-Priest (left), and Shri Sanjay Panditji (right), were putting fresh flower-garlands on the bus and performed special Pujas to purify and sanctify the bus.

The Priests also prayed, that this important vehicle should remain free from accidents. Standing behind the Priests, from left to right: OSN Principal, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela, Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and Shri Swami Satchidananda Saraswati, Treasurer, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.

Shri Swami Satchidananda broke a fresh coconut in front of the bus, which is a common ritual, specially in South India, to remove negative forces and to ensure an accident-free journey.

Sitting inside the new bus, on the driver's seat, Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda, assisted by Sanjay Panditji, is performing Pujas for Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, Whose photo was fixed behind the dashboard of this new vehicle. Here one can see Swamiji offering rose-petals to Gurudev.

After this special Puja for Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati was concluded, Shri Swami Vishveshwaranandaji - among much joy and enthusiastic clapping of the people nearby - went with the new School Bus for a test-drive within the Ashram premises. Who could be a better person than Swamiji for doing that, since he was an Electronics Engineer and pursuing the Career of a Pilot, which he fully renounced in his early Youth to become one of the greatest Sannyasi-Disciples of Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati.

After conclusion of the wonderful Pujas and Prayers by the Priests and both the Swamis, followed by a successful test-drive by Shri Swami Vishveshwaranandaji, Prasadam, in form of sweets, was distributed to different School-Employees and all, who took part in this event.
