Celebration in
Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College (OSN),
on the Occasion of 75th Independence Day of India
("75th Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava"), on 15th August 2022

Among joyous clapping and greetings from Students, Teachers and Staff of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College (OSN), the honourable Principal, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela (in dark blue suit) is guiding Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari through the huge School-Compound towards the Omkarananda Mini-Stadium, where the Flag Hoisting will take place.

Preparations for the Flag Hoisting. All are clapping in joy, when Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati successfully hoisted the National Flag, on the 75th Independence Day of India.

After each and everyone had sung the National Anthem of India, the cultural Part of the Celebrations began in the huge Assembly Place of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam. OSN Students and their Teachers welcomed the honourable Guests.

The stage had been decorated in a very pleasing way, with an Altar of the Founder of the School, His Divinity Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, whose Photo was the Center-Point, in the middle of the Ashoka Chakra.

Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and appointed Successor of Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, and Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and Indian Classical Dancer and Musician, worshipped their Adorable Sadgurudev with flowers.

The honourable OSN Principal, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela, addressed all Guests, Students and Teachers on this special occasion.

The huge audience, consisting of Guests, Students and Teachers, enjoy the cultural performances on this special day.

Students of the OSN School Choir skillfully present "Vande Mataram", a famous and beautiful National Song.

One of the great highlights of this cultural Function was a heart touching and very aesthetic performance by Class 6 Students of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College, who danced very gracefully to one of the most beautiful and melodious patriotic songs, "Bharat Anokha Raaga Hain... Jay Hind!", rendered by Pandit Jasraj and many other great and world famous Indian Classical Singers and Musicians.

To honour highly successful Senior Students of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College, Principal Shri Rautelaji called Shri Swami Vishveshwaranandaji on the stage. Here one can see Swamiji handing over an Academic Award Memento and a Certificate of Excellence in Academics to one of the brightest students of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam, Master Siddhartha Tiwari of Class 12 (Science), who scored 95.5% Marks in ISC exams, in the year 2022.

Kumari Somashekhari was also given the opportunity to honour successful OSN students. Here one can see her, handing over Academic Award and Certificate of Excellence to Master Sujal Belwal of Class 12 (Science), who scored 90.25% Marks in ISC exams, in the year 2022.

After that, outstanding OSN Students of the Junior Category, Classes 5, 6 and 7 were called on the stage for the Academic Prize distribution. Here one can see OSN Principal Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela (left) and Shri I.D. Joshi, Senior Educationist and President of OSN Management Committee (right), rewarding the beautiful and dynamic OSN Student of Class 6, Kumari Sonakshi Sapra, with Academic Award Memento and Certificate of Excellence in Academics. Kumari Sonakshi is not only interested and talented in fine Arts, like dance, music, etc., but she is also a hardworking and brilliant student. She scored 95.56% Marks.

As a grand conclusion to this exceptionally nice Celebration in Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam, Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati was requested to bless all with his Words of Divine Wisdom.

Swamiji's charismatic personality and kind words touched the hearts of all.

OSN Principal, Shri Rautelaji, had a big surprise in store. When everybody thought, that the programme is concluded, he guided all the special guests to the newly renovated Nursery and Kindergarten Wing of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam. All the different classrooms and playground of the "Tiny Tots" had been totally upgraded, beautified and improved with many new toys and more learning material.
Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda was the first to inaugurate one part of the newly renovated and upgraded part of the Nursery and KG Wing.

Kumari Somashekhari showers flower petals on the OSN Nursery and KG teachers, who were eagerly waiting for this auspicious moment.

Another part of the newly renovated Nursery and KG Wing of OSN was inaugurated by Kumari Somashekhari.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and others have a look into one of the beautiful classrooms for the smallest OSN students. OSN Principal, Shri Rautelaji, who took a lot of initiative to get the Nursery and KG Wing beautified and improved, explains the different playing and learning tools, which help the smallest students to improve their learning skills, while at the same time having fun, too.
