40th Foundation Day Celebration
for Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College (OSN),
in Muni-ki-reti, on 1st December 2022

Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam was founded on 1st December 1983 by the Grace of Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, the born Sage, Mystic, Philosopher and Writer. Since then, tens of thousands of students in Rishikesh, Muni-ki-reti and its close environment have received excellent education. Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam is known to be among the very best Schools in whole Uttarakhand. In order to thank Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, a grand Yajna in Honour of Him was conducted by Priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, in the School premises.

The wonderful OSN Principal, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautelaji, had planned and prepared the 40th Foundation Day for Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam in a grand and very meticulous way. He got two huge, beautiful tents erected, with almost 5000 chairs, and he also took nicely care for excellent and adequate security arrangements. He had even hired the fire brigade in order to safeguard each and everyone.
Here one can see the honourable Principal, Shri Rautelaji, guiding Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari towards the main place of the Foundation Day Celebration.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari are greeted by a huge crowd of OSN teachers and parents.

As a nice welcome gesture, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela offered a beautiful flower bouquet to Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.

Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and Indian Classical Dancer and Musician, also received a lovely flower bouquet from the hands of the honourable OSN Principal.

The highly dynamic OSN Principal, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela, heartily welcomed all honourable guests, OSN students, teachers and parents for the 40th Foundation Day Celebration of the prestigious Inter-College, Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam. He first introduced the Founder of this School, His Divinity Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, who is not an ordinary Saint, but an omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient Sage, Mystic and Siddha Purusha.
Further Shri Rautelaji introduced His Holiness Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and Successor of Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, to the public, saying that he is an ideal and totally selfless Karma Yogi, working extremely hard, day and night, for the benefit of all, especially in the field of Spirituality, Culture and Education.
Then Shri Rautelaji also introduced Kumari Somashekhari, whom he described as a pious Lady and a graceful, professional Indian Classical Dancer and Musician.
While Shri Rajiv Rautela spoke about Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, His Successor, Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati and Kumari Somashekhari, different photos, displayed on the huge screen, made the audience aware, about whom Rautelaji was talking.

Here one can see a small part of the audience of this grand 40th Foundation Day Celebration of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam. The wonderful OSN Principal, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela, had taken a lot of pain to invite and make arrangements for over 4000 parents.

The cultural program of the Junior Wing students took place in the morning from 10.30 AM till early afternoon. It started with a motivational song by the School Choir of the OSN Junior students.

Very cute small students of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam stole the hearts of all with their beautiful and heart-touching welcome and fairy tale dances.

A Hindu mythological Dance Drama about the story of Ganga Avataran, the descend of Ganga Devi to the earth, was skillfully presented by OSN Junior students.

At the conclusion of the most wonderful cultural program by the Junior students, a group photo of all the Junior wing Teachers of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam was taken, along with their Principal, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela, Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati and Kumari Somashekhari. Thanks to the initiative of the Principal, all the Lady Teachers were wearing lovely, uniform Saris, in a pleasing colour.

After hardly one and half hours rest, the grand Celebration of the 40th Foundation Day of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College continued in the afternoon. Again the honourable Principal guided Swamiji and Somashekhari to their seats.

Like for the morning celebration, thousands of interested parents had come to watch the performances of their children, this time the OSN Senior Students. Dignitaries in the front row, from left to right: Mrs. Archana Gairola, OSN Vice-Principal, Shrimati Shalini Rautela, the charming wife of the OSN Principal, who is herself an Educationist, having M.A. Degrees in Sanskrit and English, Guru-Bhakti-Ratna Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and professional Indian Classical Dancer and Musician, Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, and the wonderful, sincere and hardworking Principal of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela.

The honourable OSN Principal, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela, introduced again Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati and Kumari Somashekhari to the huge audience, who had come for the afternoon celebrations.

The School Choir of the Senior OSN Students, consisting of girls, impressed with their beautiful song, accompanied skillfully by OSN boy students on the guitar, different drums and two sets of Tablas.

After the exceptionally nice performances of the talented OSN students were completed, the Principal called Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari on stage to give awards to students, who have distinguished themselves by great achievements. Here one can see Master Siddhartha, being felicitated.

Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari show to the audience the huge trophy, which was won by the Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam boy students, who came out as Final Winners in an Inter-School Volleyball Championship, conducted from 4th to 6th November 2022.

The kind OSN Principal, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela, did not forget to hand over a Token of Gratitude to Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari on the occasion of the grand Celebration of the 40th Foundation Day of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam.

Finally His Holiness Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, was requested for His Divine Blessings and Speech. Swamiji, who personally has seen and contributed to the immense growth and expansion of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam into a huge, prestigious, famous and most excellent educational Institution, from its humble beginnings in the year 1983, up to its 40th Foundation Day, on 1st December 2022, expressed first of all his deepest Thanks to his adorable Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, since only because of His many sacrifices a wonderful educational Institution, like OSN, could develop in such a remarkable way, befitting so many students. Further Swami Vishveshwarananda, in his usual kind and affectionate way, expressed his deepest Thanks to the dynamic and wonderful OSN Principal, Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela, who had painstakingly organized an exceptionally beautiful and grand Foundation Day Celebration, never seen before in Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam. Swamiji did not forget to praise the OSN Students, who gave such brilliant performances and also the Teachers, who took a lot of effort to train and prepare the Students.

Finally Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati concluded his Divine Blessings with the joyous exclamation: "Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati ki Jay!!!"
