24th Foundation Day Celebration for
Omkarananda Institute of Management & Technology (OIMT),
in Omkarananda Nagar, Muni-ki-reti, via Rishikesh,
on 7th September 2022

Omkarananda Institute of Management & Technology (OIMT) was founded by His Divinity Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati in the year 1999, on the strong request of local Professors. It was one of the first professional Management Institutes in the whole Himalayan area of today's Uttarakhand and therefore benefitted many local students, who would have otherwise been forced to study far away from home, in Delhi or Punjab or other even more far away places. To honour Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati and also to sanctify the beautiful campus of OIMT and bless the Students, Faculty and Staff of OIMT, a powerful Hawana was performed, on the occasion of the 24th Foundation Day of OIMT.

The two most important Priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Shri Suresh Panditji (Chief-Priest) and Shri Sanjay Panditji, conducted this wonderful Hawana in front of a beautiful Altar with Gurudev's Photo.

Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and Indian Classical Dancer and Musician, performed the Purnahuti.

Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, offered Arati to Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati.

Pushpanjali for Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati by His direct Sannyasi Disciples, Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati and Kumari Somashekhari.

OIMT Director, Dr. Vikas Gairola, addressed the audience on this occasion.

A few lovely students from the B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) Course of OIMT, sang a heart-touching Saraswati Vandana, "He Sharade Maa", in which Divine Mother Saraswati Devi is implored to remove the darkness of ignorance.

Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda inspired the OIMT Director, Faculty and Students with his divine speech. Swamiji explained the spiritual and health benefits of the wonderful Yajna, with its holy, fragrant smoke, pervading and sanctifying the whole OIMT area, and the powerful Mantra Chanting of the Priests, which contributes to fast spiritual progress, to better health, better concentration, which in turn helps Lecturers to perform their job better and the Students to achieve greater results in their studies. Swamiji also mentioned, that this kind of spiritual Celebration of the Foundation Day of OIMT is bringing only good to all participants, whereas purely worldly Celebrations, for example in form of worldly music and worldly dances, can never give us real and lasting happiness, in the contrary, it would be a very short-lived pleasure.

OIMT Students and Faculty Members expressed their appreciation of Swami Vishveshwaranandaji's speech with loud clapping.

Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda honoured the wonderful Omkarananda Ashram Priests with Dakshina. Here one can see Swamiji with Sanjay Panditji.

Finally all OIMT Faculty Members, Students and Staff received Prasadam in form of sweets and dry fruits from the hands of Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari.
