39th Foundation Day
of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College (OSN),
in Muni-ki-reti, via Rishikesh, on 1st December 2021

Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and appointed Successor of His Divinity Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, was heartily welcomed as the Chief Guest for the 39th Foundation Day of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College (OSN), by the honourable OSN Principal Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela.

Since the Founder President of OSN is His Divinity Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, the born Saint, Mystic, Sage, Philosopher and Writer, there could not have been a better way to celebrate this auspicious event than to perform a holy Yajna. H. H. Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwaranandaji and two Omkarananda Ashram Priests, Shri Sanjay Panditji and Shri Mukesh Panditji, conducted the Yajna in Honour of Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, for the welfare and continuous progress of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College, its wonderful Principal, Teachers, Students and Staff and also for the welfare of the whole Cosmos.

Honourable OSN Principal with wife Shalini, Ashram Trustees and honourable Management Members of the OSN School Management Committee were sitting nearby.

Also OSN Teachers and OSN Staff could partake in the divine Blessings of the fragrant Yajna. Because of the still looming danger of Covid-Infections in the Uttarakhand State, OSN students had not been invited to this event, in order to safeguard their health.

Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College has a strength of 2500 students, 82 Teachers and 42 non-teaching Staff, and it belongs to the best among the private Schools in the whole of Uttarakhand. Since its Foundation, on 1st December 1983, tens of thousands of students got - Thanks to Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati - best and high-class education, which enabled many students not only to get their dream jobs, either in India or abroad, but also to receive sound spiritual, moral and ethical values, which would help them to cope easily with various problems in life.

Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College is lucky to have a most capable and wonderful Principal in Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela, a very mature and experienced Educationist. He commands great respect and strict discipline, coupled with his kind, warm and understanding nature. Here one can see Shri Rautelaji addressing all on the occasion of the 39th Foundation Day of OSN.

Here are seen some of the OSN Teachers, who took part in this wonderful event. It is heart-warming to note, that the majority of all the 82 Teachers of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College are Ladies.

H.H. Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati praised and encouraged OSN Principal, Teachers and Staff for their wonderful works. Swamiji also highlighted the sacrifices of His beloved Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, in order to give countless children of the Himalayan Garhwal area best education. In his Chief-Guest Address Swamiji also made everybody aware of the fact, that unfortunately our holy Dev Bhumi is suffering, because many people are misusing and exploiting Her for mere pleasure and worldly entertainment, instead of giving love and respect to Her. This might be one of the main reasons, why nowadays so many natural catastrophes and diseases are occurring, Swamiji said. Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda's kind and wise words were several times reciprocated with spontaneous applause from the side of the audience.
