23rd Foundation Day Celebration
for Omkarananda Institute of Management & Technology (OIMT),
in Omkarananda Nagar, Muni-ki-reti, via Rishikesh,
on 7th September 2021

On the ground of Omkarananda Institute of Management & Technology (OIMT) a very beautiful tent in soft colours had been established to celebrate the 23rd Foundation Day of this Institute. The Celebration was a purely spiritual one, which was most befitting, since the Founder of OIMT is His Divinity Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, the great Sage, Mystic, Philosopher and Writer. Inside the tent, in front of an Altar with Gurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati's Photo, the Omkarananda Ashram Priests conducted a very powerful Yajna in Honour of Gurudev and for the special welfare and prosperity of OIMT, its Students, Faculty, etc., and for the welfare of the whole World. Prof. Dr. Apurvaa Trivedi, Dean Academics OIMT, was specially honoured by Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and Indian Classical Dancer, with a flower-bouquet.

The Chief Guest of this Function, Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, was full of praise about the way, in which the 23rd Foundation Day Celebration of OIMT was conducted. He said, that it was the most beautiful and divine Function ever.

First Swamiji thanked the Priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, specially Suresh and Sanjay Panditji, for their skilful Mantra Repetition. Swami Vishveshwarananda said, that one cannot sufficiently appreciate, what a great good luck it is, if one can hear those powerful Beeja Mantras (mystical syllables), recited by the Priests, and inhale the fragrant holy smoke of the Yajna. Swamiji emphasized, that since thousands of years the conducting of Yajnas belongs to the most important part of our Vedic Culture, therefore, in Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Yajnas are conducted daily without fail. Swamiji further elaborated, that we can become more pure, more divine, more healthy, if we concentrate on spirituality and make it the base of our lives. By a spiritual and pure way of life our concentration improves and thereby also our studies and additionally to that, there are so many other advantages. Swami Vishveshwarananda further mentioned that usually Foundation Day Celebrations have programs of Bollywood Dances, etc. But there will be only a short moment of worldly enjoyment, which soon will vanish and leave us poorer. Such worldly, short-lived enjoyments cannot really help us. Whereas holy Functions, like this 23rd Foundation Day Celebration of OIMT, with Prayers, Yajna, etc., will have a long-lasting, healing effect on us and profit us really.

Swami Vishveshwarananda's wonderful and natural speech was very much appreciated and received with loud clapping.

Swamiji did not forget to specially thank and praise Prof. Dr. Apurvaa Trivedi, Dean Academics OIMT, and Prof. Pramod Uniyal, Dean Administration OIMT, for their hard work, not only for OIMT, but for Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas as a whole.
