Krishna-Janmashtami Celebration, in
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, on 30th August 2021

Like every year, on Krishna-Janmashtami,
the Omkarananda Ashram Priests had established a nice Altar in the
Omkarananda- Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, with the cute Krishna Gopalji
on His Jhula (swing) in front of the Garbha Griha, the Sanctum
Sanctorum of Shri Padmavati samet Balaji (Shri Padmavati Devi
along with her Consort Balaji or Lord Venkateshwara). Since these
are Pranapratishtha Murtis - like all the other Murtis inside the
different Shrines in the Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir - which
means, that Life has been given to Them by special holy
ceremonies, photos and videos of these Deities are not allowed. On
this photo one can see, that different fruits have been placed by
the Priests in front of Lord Krishna and also tiny earthen pots,
filled with delicious fresh butter, made from the cream of cow's
milk, along with mishri (crystal or rock sugar) and garnished with
fresh Tulsi leaves from the Temple garden of Omkarananda Ashram
Himalayas. This type of fresh butter is the favourite of Lord
Krishna. The butter, the fruits, etc. will be offered to Lord
Krishna by the Omkarananda Ashram Priests and later on distributed
as Prasadam to the Devotees.

After completion of elaborate Prayers and
Pujas, the Omkarananda Ashram Priests were singing beautiful
Radha-Krishna Bhajans, joined by Devotees.

Above & Below: In a dynamic way
Kumari Somashekhari danced different Radha-Krishna Dances
with deep devotion and with a joyful heart.

On this very auspicious occasion of
Krishna-Janmashtami Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati,
President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, gave an immensely
beautiful and highly inspiring speech, which was not prepared, but
flowing spontaneously from his heart. He made all the listeners
aware of the tremendous sacrifice and pain, which Avataras -
Divine Incarnations - like Lord Krishna, like Sadgurudev Shri
Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, have taken upon Themselves, in
order to help suffering mankind. Swami Vishveshwaranandaji's
words, laden with a great divine power, deeply penetrated the
hearts of many Devotees and reminded them, that one should never
forget to be grateful to these great Avataras.

The Devotees were spellbound by Swamiji's
heart-touching, divine speech.

This unforgettable event was concluded with
the lovely tunes of a special Arati for Lord Krishna.
