Kala-Bhairava Ashtami Celebrations, in
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, on 27th November 2021

Already in the night of 26th
November 2021, Friday, the Celebrations for Kala-Bharaiva Ashtami
started with special Pujas and Hawana at the Shri
Mahakala-Bhairava Mandir, situated on a hill-slope in the
Headquarters of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas. There Lord
Mahakala-Bhairava is residing inside His Shrine, overlooking and
protecting the whole area of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas. Lord
Kala-Bhairava is the Lord of Time. He teaches us, to use the time
available to us in a most constructive, good and divine way and
not to waste it in useless or purely worldly endeavours.

Omkarananda Ashram Priest Shri
Sanjay Panditji performs Pujas at an Altar, established right next
to the Mahakala-Bhairava Shrine Entrance. On this Altar one can
see Photos of His Divinity Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati
(left) and Sant Shri Prabhuji (right), along with an Utsava Murti
of Lord Shri Mahakala-Bhairava, a small Murti of Lord Ganeshji and
shining masks of Lord Yogeshwara (left) and His Consort Shri
Yogeshwari (right). Since Lord Mahakala-Bhairava, inside the
Shrine, is a living Pranapratishtha Murti, photos and videos of
this Deity are not allowed.

A wonderful, powerful and
fragrant Yajna was performed for Lord Mahakala-Bhairava by the
Omkarananda Ashram Priests. On this photo it looks, as if the
divine flames of the Yajna are drawn towards Lord
Mahakala-Bhairava inside His holy Shrine.

Next to the Hawana Kunda a Swarna
Akarshana Bhairava Yantra had been established by the Priests. It
consists of 108 small earthen Kalashas (earthen pots), which had
been filled with holy Ganges water. During powerful Prayers rice
corns and flower petals were offered by the Priests into these
Kalashas. In the centre point of the Yantra a Deepa is glowing
brightly. The Swarna Akarshana Bhairava Yantra bestows prosperity
and good luck to all who worship it.

In the morning of 27th November
2021, Saturday, the Celebrations of Kala-Bhairava Ashtami in
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas continued with another powerful Yajna
in front of the Shrine of Shri Mahakala-Bhairava. From left to
right: Shri Sanjay Panditji, Shri Suresh Panditji (Chief-Priest),
Shri Mukesh Panditji.

After the Yajna, Ashramites,
Devotees and Priests made Pradakshina around the Mahakala-Bhairava
Temple. In the front one can see a staunch Devotee of Lord
Mahakala-Bhairava, Shri Deepak Randhive, who leads the holy
procession with a Deepa. Behind him are Mahant Shri Swami
Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram
Himalayas, carrying the mask of Lord Yogeshwara, Kumari
Somashekhari, General Secretary and Indian Classical Dancer,
carrying Shri Yogeshwari and the Priests, following with the holy
Kalashas.

The Yatra around the Temple is
completed and the participants are standing in front of the
entrance of the Mahakala-Bhairava Shrine, where the Priests are
going to perform Abhisheka with Lord Mahakala-Bhairava.

After Abhisheka, Alankara
(Decoration of the Deity) and Arati for Lord Mahakala-Bhairava a
wonderful Prasadam was ready for all. From left to right: Mahant
Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, Chief-Priest Shri Suresh
Panditji, Kumari Somashekhari, Shri Swami Satchidananda Saraswati,
Treasurer Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, are distributing the holy
Prasadam to everybody.
