Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Ganga-Arati,
in Honour of Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati,
at Omkarananda Gayatri Sadan, at the Ganga,
on 31st December 2021

The concluding Function of Omkarananda Mahotsava started on 31st December 2021 with a Yajna at the holy Ganga by Priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas along with Gurukul Students. This Yajna created a very spiritual atmosphere.

Thanks to the infinite Grace of His Divinity Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas owns a heavenly place directly at the Ganga. It is due to the generosity and kindheartedness of Shri Swami Vishveshwaranandaji, President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, that this extraordinary beautiful and rare place, along with its grand building Omkarananda Gayatri Sadan, is not used for commercial purposes, but purely for the Vedic Education of children in the form of a Gurukul. When this photo was taken, the majority of the Gurukul students were chanting the "Shri Sadguru Omkarananda-Ashtottara-Shata-Namavali", the 108 holy Names of Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, while the Omkarananda Ashram Priests and two Gurukul students were offering Ahutis into Agni-Devata, with the recitation of each holy Name of Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati.

Prof. Dr. Apurvaa Trivedi, Dean Academics Omkarananda Institute of Management and Technology (OIMT), announced and explained all programes of this function.

Kumari Somashekhari presented in an extraordinary style a Bharatanatyam Temple-Dance, based on the Shiva-Panchaakshara Stotram by Shri Adi-Shankaracharya. The audience was deeply touched by this beautiful item.

The well-known singer of Uttarakhand, Shri Ramesh Uniyal,
delighted the hearts of all with a beautiful Garhwali song.

In Honour of her adorable Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, Kumari Somashekhari performed a devotional dance to an ancient devotional song by Goddess Shri Aandaal. Mother Ganga must have been very pleased to see this beautiful dance by Kumari Somashekhari.

Shri Swami Sundara Chaitanya, President Karttikeya Ashram Rishikesh, was deeply touched to see the holy Gurukul of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, situated directly at Maa Ganga.

Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, along with his best wishes and Blessings, requested all the people present, to start the coming year with a new divine attitude and with the resolve to do now all the good things, which they were not able to realize in the past year.

He told to everybody, that their thoughts should always be with the Divine, first. Keeping this in mind, will generate great Blessings from the Divine, Swamiji assured.

For his inspiring words Swamiji received a spontaneous and grateful clapping from the people in the audience.

The final and great Ganga-Arati by Shri Suresh Panditji, the Chief-Priest of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, accompanied by Ashramites, Vedic Students, Devotees and Guests.

It was an unforgettable and heart-touching moment, when everybody could offer Millions of flower petals to holy Maa Ganga. Experiencing this divine scene, some Devotees even got tears of joy.
