Full Moon Temple-Program,
in Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, on 19th October 2021

The special Full Moon Temple-Program started with the performance of a few Temple-Dances by Kumari Somashekhari.

Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, gave a lot of joy and helpful wisdom to the Devotees, by his short and sweet narration of an interesting moral story about a noble goose and an arrogant crow. Swamiji mentioned, how the proud, vain crow always made fun of the beautiful, majestic goose. The crow was very talkative and full of self-praise and boasted with its acrobatic flying exercises. But the goose remained always calm and silent, though it was constantly provoked by the arrogant and overconfident crow. But one day the downfall of the crow came. It got punished by its own challenge and it would have died, if it would not have been saved by the noble goose.

Swamiji said, that from this lovely story one can learn, that it is better, to be wise and calm like the kind goose and not always boast about oneself or be abusive like the arrogant crow.

Another thing, what we can learn from this story is, that one should not be excessively talkative like the crow, but calm and quiet like the goose, which did not talk much and did only good.

Shri Swami Vishveshwaranandaji concluded with the final advice, that we will be better off in life, if we behave like the wise, calm and good-hearted goose. It should not matter to us, whether others make fun of us or not, whether they speak good about us or not. All these things should not affect us.

"We should work more and do more good and talk less !!! Let actions speak, not words !!!", Swamiji emphasised.

All showed their approval for Shri Swami Vishveshwaranandaji's lively and heart-touching speech through huge applause.

Thus completed another beautiful and divine Full Moon Temple- Program in the Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.
