Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati,
President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,
as Chief Guest during Republic Day Celebration
and Concluding Day of Ganga Mahotsava, organized
by Nagar Palika Parishad Muni-ki-Reti–Dhalwala
(via Rishikesh), Uttarakhand, on 26th January 2019

During the Republic Day Celebration, which coincided with the concluding Day of
the Ganga Mahotsava, taking place on a big open ground in Muni-ki-Reti, near the Ganga,
a huge crowd of local people was present, among them many students, accompanied by
their teachers, from different Schools and Colleges of Muni-ki-Reti–Dhalwala and Rishikesh.
The students took part in various singing and dance-competitions,
and the winners received valuable gifts.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,
had been invited as Chief Guest for this grand Function. He was accompanied by
Kumari Somashekhari, Bharatanatyam Dancer and General Secretary Omkarananda
Ashram Himalayas. Both of them were given special seats of Honour.

B. Ed. Students of Omkarananda Institute of Management and Technology (OIMT)
sang a beautiful Welcome Song for all.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda, the Chief Guest of this Function, got the special Honour
to hoist the National Flag. He was given a helping hand by the Chairman
Nagar Palika Muni-ki-Reti–Dhalwala, by Kumari Somashekhari and by
the SHO (Station House Officer) of Muni-ki-Reti.

After the Flag-Hoisting all are standing in position for the National Anthem.

Kumari Somashekhari, an Indian Classical Dancer and Musician,
had been requested by the Organizers of this Function to give a dance-performance.

Kumari Somashekhari presented a beautiful Bharatanatyam Dance,
with intricate footwork and elegant, graceful movements. The audience was thrilled
to see a high-class performance by Kumari Somashekhari.

After her dance-performance Kumari Somashekhari was requested to address
the audience with a short speech in Hindi and then sing a Garhwali song for all.
Next to her, on the stage, can be seen (from left to right) the SHO Muni-ki-Reti,
Shri Manish Dimri, Main Organizer of this Function, Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda
and Shri Roshan Raturi, Chairman.

Kumari Somashekhari concluded her performances with a devotional song
in the local Garhwal Himalayan language. Her perfect pronunciation of
the Garhwali Language found very much appreciation among the audience.

Shri Roshan Raturi, Chairman Nagarpalika Muni-ki-Reti - Dhalwala, thanked
Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari for gracing this special event
with their presence. He also expressed his special thanks to
Shri Manish Dimri for organizing everything so well.

Among big applause Shri Swami Vishveshwaranandaji was honoured
for his outstanding social and educational Services.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati addressed the huge audience. In his short,
but powerful and brilliant speech, Swamiji elaborated on India and the Greatness of its true Culture.
Thus, this wonderful event concluded on a very auspicious note.
