It was a unique awe-inspiring Celebration of the 20th Foundation Day of Omkarananda Institute of Management and Technology (OIMT), on 7th September 2018.

With the Blessings of His Divinity Paramahamsa Swami Omkarananda Saraswati, a grand Yajna was performed in the premises of the Institute in the divine presence of Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati and H.H. Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President Swami Omkarananda Saraswati Charitable Trust and Kumari Somashekhari, the General Secretary.

The Pundits/Priests recited the Vedic Mantras, offering oblations into the sacred fire. The flames, coming out of the Yajna, surcharged the atmosphere with divine vibrations.

Though austere, it was full of grandeur and beauty – the audience experiencing blissful vibrations all around. Swamiji offered Ahutis and Purnahuti and led the Arati, while Kumari Somashekhari, in her sweet, purely Vedic pronunciation – like great Sanskrit Scholars – sang the Arati of Sadgurudev Swami Omkarananda and chanted Vedic Mantras – invoking the peace, harmony and happiness of one and all.

In his inspiring message to the staff and students of OIMT, Swami Vishveshwaranandaji glorified the power of Yajna and said, that it is not mere flames and smoke coming out of the sacred Hawana Kunda, but those are pure flames of Illuminations, filling our hearts and minds with Peace, Harmony and divine Bliss. Swamiji further emphasized that the divine power and fragrance of the Yajna promotes peace and harmony all around, it empowers us, grants us spiritual power to live a peaceful, successful and happy life and even can protect us against accidents, diseases and other misfortunes.

Swamiji thanked Shri D.K. Varshney and others for organizing the function so nicely. He was all praise and gratitude to Shri D.K. Varshney for offering his selfless services to the Institute.

Kumari Somashekhari, speaking in Hindi in a pure, native like accent, with her sweetness impressed everyone, glorifying the Yajna and also highlighting the contribution of Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati through his austere, simple and saintly life, and his constant, tireless working for the cause of welfare and happiness of the masses.

While delivering the vote of thanks, Shri D.K. Varshney thanked Swamiji, the Chief Guest, for gracing the function and blessing the staff and students. He emphatically spoke of the selfless services of Swami Vishveshwaranandaji, mentioning, that he was an Electronics Engineer. He could have lived a very comfortable life, but he, like Lord Buddha, renounced all the joys and comforts of worldly life, followed the footsteps of his Gurudev and came to India to fulfil His Mission of dissemination of Vedic culture. We are grateful to such Saints, who live for others, doing noble service for the cause of the education of the common masses.

It was a new experience for the staff and students of OIMT, as a spiritualized function has its own beauty and grandeur. Dr. Rajul Dutt, Director of the Institute and Dr. Pramod Uniyal and Faculty Members too, appreciated the Chief Guest Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari, and expressed their happiness, that they graced the function. The other Dignitaries, present in the celebrations, were Dr. Jai Ram Rai, Ex-Deputy Director Homoeopathy U.P. Government and Shri I. D. Joshi, Ex-Principal.

The function completed with a note of peace, harmony, bliss, spirituality.
