Brahmotsava of
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir,
Muni-ki-Reti, via Rishikesh, from 8th to 10th April 2017

In the morning of 8th April 2017 the holy Celebrations for the yearly Brahmotsava of the Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir started with a powerful Hawana and different Pujas.

Kalasha-Yatra around Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.

The Kalasha-Yatra is proceeding towards Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti Temple.

Kumari Somashekhari and others are offering the Kalashas to
Lord Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti for His Blessings.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Priest Sanjay are offering
Prayers and Arati for Shri Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti.

Lord Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti in His beautiful Temple under the Banyan Tree.

The Procession has arrived in front of Omkarananda-Radha-Krishna Mandir.
Two Kalashas have been placed inside the Shrine for Abhisheka of the Deities.

After that all Ashramites, Priests and Devotees proceeded to the lovely
Omkarananda-Hanuman Mandir, where special Prayers and Arati were offered
to Lord Omkarananda-Hanuman.

Special Abhisheka is going on in the Omkara-Mahaganapati Mandir.

A wonderful Abhisheka, Alankara and Arati had been offered to Lord Mahakala-Bhairava.

Everybody takes the Blessings of the Karpura Arati at the Omkara-Mahaganapati Temple.

Final Arati for Lord Omkara-Mahaganapati by Swami Satchidananda.

In the night of 9th April 2017 the Brahmotsava of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir continued in the Mandapa of the Temple. In the front can be seen 300 earthen small Kalashas, filled with holy Ganges-water and flowers. Behind that a beautifully decorated Altar had been established, with a Photo of Gurudev H. D. Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, a Picture of Gajalakshmi, many Kalashas and also Utsava-Murtis of Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi (in the middle), Shri Maha-Saraswati Devi and Shri Maha-Lakshmi Devi.

The Chief-Priest, Shri Suresh Panditji (extreme right), is reciting powerfully
holy Mantras and Prayers, assisted by other Priests.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati is performing a special Arati
for Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi and other Deities.

During the powerful Trishati-Recitation (300 Names of Shri Lalita Maha-Tripurasundari),
the Priest is offering additional flowers and rice-corns to the Kalashas.

Kumari Somashekhari is offering the Arati to all the Kalashas,
which have been charged by the Mantras and Prayers.

Kumari Somashekhari offers flowers of Adorations.

On 10th April 2017, the final Day of the Brahmotsava started in the morning with a powerful Yajna. In the backside one can see the students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya.

After Purnahuti Swami Vishveshwarananda, Kumari Somashekhari and
the Chief-Priest are offering Ghee and Pushpanjali to the holy Agni-Devata.

Before the final Kalasha Yatra begins, Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda
is performing Arati for the Deities.

The Kalasha Yatra starts from the entrance of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir
and proceeds nicely around the whole Temple.

During this Yatra a part of the Students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya
are powerfully reciting Vedic Shlokas.

During conclusion of the Kalasha Yatra, the Priest is blessing all.

The Navagraha Deities (Deities of the nine Planets), residing in Their Temple just next
to the Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, are receiving a wonderful Abhisheka
from the Hands of the Chief-Priest, Shri Suresh Panditji.

Abhisheka is performed for all Divinities in Their respective Shrines,
inside the Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir. Here one can see everybody
watching the Abhisheka for Shri Meenakshi Devi inside Her Garbha Griha.

Every Kalasha, filled with divine Powers, is going from hand to hand and reaches
finally the Divine Mother Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi for Abhisheka.

After Alankara (holy Decoration) of Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi,
a wonderful Arati was performed for Her.

Shri Mukesh Panditji is blessing all students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya
with the Arati and applies holy Kumkum Tilak on their foreheads.

After all students had received Dakshina from the holy hands of Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Shri Swami Satchidananda, they are further rewarded with chocolates, distributed to them by Kumari Somashekhari and Shri G. Sukumar.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari deeply thank and praise
all the students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya for their brilliant and
powerful Vedic Recitations and their support during the final Day of the Brahmotsava.

All are happily chanting together:
"Om Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati ji ki Jay ! Om"

In the night of the 10th April 2017 a special Navavarana Puja was conducted
inside the holy Shrine of Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi. After completion of
this special Puja, Kumari Somashekhari performed a Suvasini Puja
in front of the Shrine, assisted by the Priests.

Kumari Somashekhari offers beautiful gifts to the Suvasini. Thus the Brahmotsava of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir was successfully completed.
