Meditation

Whatever may be the nature of the world outside, within yourself remain a sea of blazing Divine Consciousness of Delight, Peace, Joy, Perfection.

As you meditate, let all the energies of the body, of the Prana - the vital force, the psychic being, emotional being - rise upward towards the heart and the face, the head. Burn with a blazing aspiration for God-experience - that is your strength, that is your goal, that is your genius, that is your real life. Reject a whole kingdom, if ever it is given to you as a gift. Be tempted by nothing, be devoted to Truth and Wisdom.

When you pray, when you meditate, demand from the Divine, with all the strength of your heart and will and mind and soul, an immediate experience. Plunge yourself into the wonders of the Divine Light.

As you pray, feel that all the Saints of the world, all the Sages of the world, of the past, of the present, and of the future, - Saints to be born, Sages to be born - are praying through your heart. Find yourself in all the Temples of the world; and find all the Temples of the world in your heart. Let heaven and earth become one as you meditate, and as you pray.

Let God Himself pray through you as you pray. Let God Himself meditate upon Himself as you meditate. Achieve this state, this blessed condition. Become a Sage, now in this life, not tomorrow, not after death. Taste the fruits of spiritual life as you live now, fearless, brave, bold, full of dynamic and invisible, invincible, unconquerable intelligence.

Let the heart abide in the delights of the divine experience. Let the mind constantly work from deep-rootedness in the knowledge of the Divine. Your worst thoughts, your meanest thoughts should be grand enough, wonderful enough, high enough. Make genius the normal condition of your being. Make inspiration the inseparable feature of your normal nature.
