Brahmotsava of
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir,

Muni-ki-Reti, via Rishikesh, from 1st April to 3rd April 2015

Above & Below:
1000 Kalashas, filled with Ganges water and flowers,
are ready for the start of the evening rituals.

Nicely decorated Altar with the Utsava Murtis of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi,
Maha-Saraswati and Maha-Lakshmi and with the pictures of Gurudev
Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati and Gajalakshmi.

Puja by the Priest Sanjay and Swami Vishveshwarananda.

Sanjay Panditji invokes the Presence of Tripurasundari during the Puja.

While Mantras are being recited, one Priest is sprinkling Ganges water on each and every Kalasha.

Swamiji offers Arati to the Deities.

Yajna on the final day of the Brahmotsava. In the background one can see
the students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya.

Priest Sanjay is distributing the divine Kalashas, filled with all the Power of Prayers,
to Kumari Somashekhari, Swami Vishveshwarananda, Swami Satchidananda and the Chief Priest.
The Kalashas have to be carried around the Temple and then into the Garbha-Griha of the respective Divinity.

Everybody is ready for the great Pradakshina in front of
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.

The Pradakshina has started, and all are carrying the Kalashas along with Coconut,
Mango-leaves and Ganges water around the Temple.

Chief Priest Suresh, while chanting the prayers in front of the procession.

After completing the procession around the Temple (Pradakshina)
the Kalashas are brought to the respective Deities.

Ashram-Members, students and devotees form a chain and one Kalasha after another
goes through everybody's hands and finally reaches Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi,
where the holy Abhisheka takes place.

During this holy Abhisheka ritual
students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya
are constantly chanting Mantras and Hymns.




Behind Soma and Swamiji are Shri D.K. Varshneyji, Rishikesh's Premier Educationist,
and Shri Ashok Babuji with his wife and daughter.

Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari are addressing the Sadhus.

Everybody is attending the Arati in Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.

Kumari Somashekhari is reciting the Sannyasa Suktam
from the Maha-Narayana Upanishad, for the Sadhus.

Swami Satchidananda along with Kotwal is distributing the Dakshina to all the Sadhus.

A devotee, seeking the blessings of the Sadhus, is offering some money to them.
Behind are Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari,
thanking each and everybody for joining the Bhandara.

A large number of Sadhus,
moving back to their respective places in a happy and satisfied mood.

At the final conclusion of the Brahmotsava Soma and the Priest Sanjay are performing Suvasini Puja
with Shrimati Varshney, who receives different kinds of gift items during this special worship.
