
The auspicious Celebration of the
Brahmotsava of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir started in
the morning of 12th April 2014 with a special Hawana,
dedicated to Lord Ganesha.

Shri Suresh Shastriji, Chief Priest,
and Mukesh Panditji are praying at the specially erected
Altar at the Yajnashala of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi
Mandir.

Kalasha-Yatra for the Deities of
Omkara-Mahaganapati Mandir and Mahakala-Bhairava
Mandir started from the Yajnashala.

Somashekhari and Priests of Omkarananda Ashram are
proceeding with the holy Kalashas from the
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir towards the
Omkara-Mahaganapati Mandir.

Final Puja before some of the Kalashas
will be placed inside the Shrine for Abhisheka of
Omkara-Mahaganapati.

Omkara-Mahaganapati.

Lovely flowers adorn the garden at the
Mahakala-Bhairava Mandir in Omkarananda Ashram
Himalayas.

Afterwards the Kalasha-Yatra continued
around the Mahakala-Bhairava Mandir and stopped in front
of the Shrine. Priests are carrying the Kalashas with the
holy waters, meant for Abhisheka for Lord
Mahakala-Bhairava and Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari
Somashekhari are holding silver masks of Yogeshwara and
Yogeshwari.

After completion of Abhisheka and
Alankara all are joining the Arati for Lord
Mahakala-Bhairava.

A wonderful Prasadam concluded the
Rituals.

holy Prasadam from the Priest.


On 13th April 2014 afternoon a special
Altar was erected in the Mandapa of
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, along with Utsava Murtis
of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi (in the middle), Maha-Lakshmi
Devi and Maha-Saraswati Devi. On the backside of the
Utsava Murtis are Kalashas, filled with Ganga water, into
which later on the Presence of the Divinities will be
invoked.

Thousand small earthen Kalashas,
filled with Ganges water and flowers had been arranged
in geometrical shapes.


In the night of 13th April 2014
the Priests started special Pujas and Recitations as
part of the Brahmotsava.

During Recitation of the
"Lalita-Sahasranama", the Thousand Holy Names or
Descriptions of the Goddess Tripurasundari, rice corns and
flower petals are offered into each of the thousand
earthen Kalashas, filled with the holy water.

The Main-Function of the Brahmotsava
started with a special Yajna in the morning of the
14th April 2014.

The Kalasha-Yatra starts from the
Temple Hall of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.


Swami Vishveshwarananda, Swami
Satchidananda, Kumari Somashekhari and all the Priests are
carrying Kalashas, in which the presence of different
Deities has been invoked.

Along with joyous chanting of Vedic
Mantras all proceed with the holy Kalashas around
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Mandir.


After every few meters the Yatra stops
for a short while, and a Priest in front makes a short
Puja, Arati and sprinkles Ganges water.


Back in the Mandapa, all Kalashas are
carried to the respective Shrines.

Abhisheka for the Navagraha Deities by
Chief Priest Suresh Shastriji and other Priests.

Abhisheka was done also for
Omkarananda-Hanuman.
Finally the 1000 small Kalashas are
handed over with prayers from one person to the other till
they reach the Garbha-Griha of Divine Mother
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi for Abhisheka.

In the evening of 14th April 2014, the
main and final day of the Brahmotsava, another
beautiful Altar had been established by the Priests in the
Temple Hall of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.
The grand Brahmotsava was concluded in
a beautiful full moon night with a Navaavarana Puja inside
the Garbha-Griha of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi. After that
a Suvasini was worshipped and given beautiful gifts by
Kumari Somashekhari.
