The Chief Guest for the occasion was revered Swami Vishveshwaranandaji Maharaj. The function was also graced by Members of the School Managing Committee and Parents.

The celebrations continued with the lighting of the lamp on the stage, in front of a photo of Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, by Revered Swami Vishveshwaranandaji.

The school choir set the mood for the day with their beautiful rendering of "Vande Maataram".

This was followed by a speech given by the school Captain Sagar Sahni.

After this there was a colourful display of India's rich cultural heritage through a Haryanavi Dance presented by the students of class IX.

The audience was all praise for the school Vice-Captain Anima Rawat when she recited a beautiful patriotic poem composed by Rabindra Nath Tagore. It touched everyone's heart.

It was time for the much awaited event of the day i.e. the Annual Prize Distribution. Students who had secured 1st and 2nd positions in their respective classes were awarded Book Prizes. The shining stars of OSN (Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam) were given due recognition when they were presented Book Prizes among loud cheers.

The hearts of everyone present were actually stolen by the tiny tots from classes Nursery and Kindergarten, when they presented a dance "I Love My India". No doubt, our little ones displayed grace and poise in each and every step they took.

"Gidda", a folk dance of Punjab, presented by girls in purple costumes, added the purple flavor to the celebrations.

Students of OSN once again had proved their mettle in ICSE and ISC results. As per the tradition of the school, exceptionally bright students were awarded cash incentives.

Our school always appreciates and recognizes talented teachers as they are the strength of any good educational institution. This year Mrs. Asha Malhotra and Miss Asha Thapa (TGT Chemistry) were honoured with shawls as a souvenir for their outstanding and meritorious service to the institution.

The Chief Guest, Swami Vishveshwaranandaji Maharaj, in his address, expressed joy at the marvelous presentation by the students and congratulated the young achievers of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam for their excellent performance in academics.

Then the students of Class XI presented a spellbinding Sufi Dance which left the audience asking for more.
The main attraction of the day was a patriotic Garhwali song by Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, an employee of the school, which was continually applauded by the appreciating audience. It captured the mood of the day.

This was followed by the Vote of Thanks by the Principal, Col. (Retd) D.L. Sachdeva. He motivated the students with his inspirational words and blessings.

The celebrations concluded with the sweet distribution to all the students, staff and teachers.
