On the 19th of February 2011, the students of
class XII were given a formal Farewell by the students and
teachers of the school. On this occasion revered Swami
Vishveshwaranandaji Maharaj, President Omkarananda Ashram, was
present to bless the students. The parents of the outgoing batch
also attended the function.
The day began with the lighting of the lamp by
revered Swamiji and the School Choir sang the famous lines of the
Shloka - 'Asato ma Sad gamaya…' "Lead us from untruth to
Truth..." An aura of Divinity was created by the chanting of
the Hymns and Saraswati Vandana was sung to invoke the Blessings
of Goddess Saraswati. A traditional Hawana was performed by the
Ashramites to purify the atmosphere and to bless the students for
their future endeavour. Even students appearing for their ICSE
examination participated in the Hawana. Later Prasadam was
distributed to all present there.
A number of students spoke and became
nostalgic when they talked about the happy and carefree days that
they have spent in the school. The School Captain, Gargi Gairola,
said that the school is like a family and "a Home away from Home"
in true sense. Dr. A. Gairola (Father of Gargi Gairola) said that
the School is like a Temple and the Teachers are like God and
respecting the teachers, parents and elders will take the students
to a very high level. He appreciated the Principal and the
Teachers for the exposure given to the students in the National
and the International events which enhances the overall
personality of the students.

different Teachers in grooming his personality. Anubhuti Dhyani
said that she has studied in three different schools but found
this school, Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam, to be the best. She

discuss any problem.
Mrs. Ratna Gaur (Mother of Anamika Gaur) said
that the children are lucky to study in this school and
appreciated the strict discipline and administration of the school
which ultimately would take the students and the school to higher
and higher levels.
Swami Vishveshwaranandaji Maharaj, in his
speech, appreciated student Parikshit's oratory skill. He told to
the students, that there is no gain without pain and all the
duties should be carried out peacefully, honestly and sincerely.
He said that one should not be attached too much to outer luxury,
otherwise these attachments to perishing things will only bring
worries. He further advised the students to do good deeds, the
result of which will come back to them one day. Swamiji also
emphasized that one should never forget Gurudev Paramahamsa
Omkarananda, thanks to whom so many students get excellent
