
Swami
Paramananda Giri, an inmate of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, was
invited to participate in the Shankar-Bhashya-Parayana in
Badrinath (Recitation of the Commentary of Lord Shankaracharya on
10 Principle Upanishads, Shrimad Bhagawad Geeta, Brahmasutra and
Vishnu Sahasranama) which was organized by Bhagawadpada Bhakta
Mandali, Uttarkashi, and in which many esteemed Acharyas and
Saints have taken part from all over India.
The Program was conducted from 15th September 2010 to 27th
September 2010. The Parayana program used to start daily at 7am
and end at 4pm. There was a group leader for each group which did
the Bhashya Parayana for 1 hour daily and totally there were 9
groups. Swami Paramananda Giri was leading one group. Shanti Path
and Arati were the prefix and suffix for the Parayana program
daily.
Daily evening lectures were also conducted by experts on the
subject of Vedanta. The timings were 5pm - 7pm.
